POLICE RECORDS
The NLA has mispelt this prisoner's name: he was MALDEN not Maldon, according to police records(below). He was a "native" of New York, convicted to 10 years in 1871 for shooting with intent and photographed by T.J. Nevin on conditional discharge from the Hobart Gaol, April 25th, 1874.
